Laminate

Laminate countertops provide a low-cost option for any countertop in your home. Almost maintenance free, laminate has long been the mainstay choice for home countertops. Now, with a new generation of colors, finishes and EDGE PROFILES, laminate offers the look of more expensive granite and stone. We also offer Karran under mount sinks that can be used with laminate countertops.

Solid Surfaces

Solid surface counter tops are bacteria and stain resistant, extremely durable and easily repaired should the need arise. They are available in a diverse range of colors and options and offer the option of having an integrated sink or under mounted sink. We can provide a solid surface that is perfect for your needs.
Featuring surfaces from Dupont, LG Hi-Macs, Samsung, Wilsonart, Formica, and Paperstone; DMS can supply you with a multitude of solid surface materials and colors to choose from.

Care and Maintenance of your Countertops:

Cleaning Solid Surface Countertops

For day to day cleaning for solid surfaces, warm soapy water or non-abrasive household cleaners such as glass cleaner, Fantastik®, Formula 409® or commercially available solid surface cleaners will remove most residues. Then rinse and towel dry the surface to prevent spotting especially in areas with hard water.
For stubborn residue, apply a mild abrasive cleaner such as Soft Scrub® and a damp sponge, rub in a circular motion. Then rinse and towel dry. If additional blending is necessary, lightly buff with a gray (7448) Scotch-Brite™ pad then rinse and towel dry.

Care and Prevention
To prevent heat damage use solid trivets with rubber tip feet or flame resistant heat mats when placing hot objects, heat producing appliances such as electric skillets, crock pots, etc. on the countertop.
Avoid exposing the surface to harsh chemicals such as paint removers/thinners, acetone based cleaners, stove/drain cleaners, etc. If these come in contact with the surface, quickly wash off with water.
Do not cut directly on the surface of your countertop, always use a cutting board. While minor cuts and scratches can be repaired by using a gray (7448) Scotch-Brite™ pad, deeper cuts may require a DMS Custom technician to refinish the top at an added expense.
We do recommend running warm water into a solid surface sink when pouring boiling water down the drain. This will help prevent any thermal shock.
